They call me: Talyth Baequiathem
And I've lived for: 241 years
I'm an: Elf
Who is also a: Weaver/Gardener
I only trust: Herself, she can't really afford to trust anyone else, now can she?
This is what I see in the pond: Talyth has the willowy frame of an elf. Not exactly very tall for an elf, she only stands at about five foot eight. She has dark reddish-brown hair that hangs halfway down her back. It's more of a brown than anything, but looks as though it has streaks of copper in it. Her eyes aren't narrow, they're wide, like she was surprised. They're two diffrent shades of grey, so it's not that noticeable that they're diffrent, unless she looks you directly in the eye. She has long eyelashes, that frame her eyes, giving her a curious expression. She's not as pale, as most elves are, her skin is more fair and rosy, like a humans. Her lips are small, with a natural rose color to them. She has a thin frame, that's not exactly rail thin, it's more athletic. She has lean muscles across her arms and a flat tummy that's toned. Her legs are long and lean, her feet tough but still soft. Her habit of not wearing shoes is evident in the scars across the bottoms of them.
This is who I am: Talyth Baequitahem....her name as confusing as her personality. Her first name means Fox Child, and that she was as a youngling. Wild and fiesty, clever and wily. Her personality evolved as she grew older. She's quiet now, rather than how she was as a child when she would run rampant through the forest like a wild creature. She's got a love for the outdoors as great and big as a dragon's love for the sky. She finds peace and solace in it. She's charming and wise, but also sad. She enjoys walking through the forest, little bits of string in her hands, braiding them and adding in little bits of grass or flowers here and there until she's woven a little circlet for any of the children that happen to see her when she gets back to the city. She has a broad mind, very open that allows her to see the best...and worst in people that she meets. Her mental wall is hard, but pliable. She's incredibly shy, quick to blush and hang her head and avoid eye-contact whenever paid a compliment. She has manners, very good manners, but isn't very talkative. She'll nod politely whenver spoken to, answer when it's necessary, but never say more than is required to not sound rude or uncaring.
This is my story: Oh dear, Talyth. Born into what many would call 'minor nobility', she was an only child. Her parents were the type that kept to themselves, and thus she did too. She was never very social as a child, content to keep to herself until she had to go to Ilireato train under the Riders on her twenty fifth birthday. She learned much, and absorbed information like a sponge. Forever curious, she experimented with her magic after classes and before bed. She learned to create pretty flowers, to change to color of the little mice that ran around the place, and to enchant a little man made of grass to row a little boat around a pond in a courtyard. But one day she made a mistake, and accidentally caused a pony to grow fangs and it subsequently bit a the little stable boy. It damaged his arm and he could never work it very well afterwards. She felt horrible about it, and quit experimenting with magic. She wanted to quit using it altogether, afraid of hurting another person, but she had to use it during class in order to appease her teachers. When she was done training in Ileria, she came back home and settled into life there quietly and happily. But she still would not use magic, still afraid of hurting someone. Years passed in happy quiet and contentment, while rumors of a war danced on the wind. The Blue Divide came about and she saw many friends and even her parents go off to fight...and not come back. After her parents left and she recieved word of their death, she went into Du Weldenvarden, into a hermitage for five years before she came back and moved back into her parent's home. She has spent the last five years growing plants, creating things from them. But she hasn't really reintegrated herself into the community yet, still just keeping to herself in her little home in Ellesmera. The black, deep violet, and dark blue flowers she grows twine up her home, marking it as hers as she waits to figure out what to do with her life, now that she is alone.
