[/b] he looked away for a brief moment. ’Damn, I sounded like a complete idiot! I should walk away,’ he thought silently. But if he walked away, they would meet up again eventually. There was a very good chance that they would meet again since they were ground-bound for the next little while and they were all living on the same island.Today was an uneventful day. Varden looked around the small, makeshift tents and wondered how the riders could be living this way. They were great and powerful warriors who had fought in the Blue Divide. Surely they could handle and stand their own against those that sacked the city. Sure, there were quite a few still learning and quite young, but it shouldn’t be that much of an issue should a few people guard those individuals.
However, like Taured and Varden preferred, the riders had chosen to flee the city in as peaceful a manner as they could. There had been some defence against the attacks to the city, but they weren’t starting the fights themselves.
Varden sighed as he walked through the tents. It was a miserable day. Looking up to the sky and taking a quick sniff of the air, Varden could tell that it was going to rain later on. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the rain, it was more to do with the air after it rained. He hated the smell of the sea air mixing with the damp smell of grass. It wouldn’t be that bad if they were over the spine or something place away from the ocean.
Varden was about to head over to the water, trying to find something to do when he caught a familiar scent in the air. He knew who that was and felt himself start to get giddy inside. Shaking his head, Varden wondered what was wrong with him. It was just Sunglow. Then again, their last encounter had been some time ago and he had been rather embarrassed about it. How could a dragon not know how to catch its own food? Well, if you ever wanted to find a dragon who didn’t know, then you wouldn’t have to look any further.
He now knew how to hunt for food, thanks to Sunglow. Maybe he should make his way over to her and start a conversation? But what would he talk about? The weather? No, even she would be able to tell it was going to rain. Talking about the weather would just be awkward. Well he had to think of something. His feet had already carried him all the way over to her location.
’Think cool, smooth. Don’t be an idiot. Don’t do what Ace would do,’ he thought to himself. Approaching Sunglow quietly, he cleared his throat in her mind before smiling to the female dragon. Wait, he should say something! But what? He hadn’t decided on anything!
“Nice weather, I mean, it looks like rain,”
“How have you been, Sunglow?”[/b] that was a bit better. It was good for him to sound caring. And he did care. He cared for Sunglow quite a bit now.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
