Name: Kaime
Age: 20
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Occupation: Right Hand of Morona
Allegiance: Lord Morona
Physical Description:
6’1” Kaime is relatively tall and well built, most of his muscle-mass coming from enforced survival on the wrong side of Empire Nirvana’s laws.
He is bald with a complex tribal tattoo spanning the entirety of the top and back of his head, ending at the base of his neck.
Kaime’s face makes him look older than he is, his jaw juts slightly and his face itself has a weathered look about it. His skin has a slight tan to it, which serves to enhance the weathered look about him, however, that is not the most striking point of Kaime’s face. Along the left side of his face, travelling up from his neck, up his left cheek and extending around his left eye from the left of his top lip and ending just above his left eyebrow Kaime’s veins stand out visibly on his skin as a dark purple colour, adding a slight air of menace to his features.
His left eye is dead, but his right eye retains its natural brown colour.
The origins of the dark purple veins that cover almost one half of his face can be traced back to a large circular knot of a scar on his left shoulder which is a faded, yet still relatively dark purple itself, and from that the dark purple veins cover most of the left shoulder itself and the entirety of his left arm. However, his left arm is normally very well concealed beneath a vast array of bandages and a custom crafted dark-metal gauntlet which seems to share a similar texture to gold.
The gauntlet covering his left arm begins with a pauldron and ends with each finger being crafted into a vicious-looking claw. This piece of equipment was crafted specifically for Kaime.
Other than his gauntlet Kaime wears no other armour on his form, merely a simple, sleeveless black and red tunic, a plain pair of black slacks and a plain pair of boots. He deems that to be his uniform and his dress-sense never changes because of that.
Personality:
In a nutshell Kaime is a highly loyal soldier; he places the life of his Lord Morona higher than his own and would willingly sacrifice his own life to ensure the survival of his Lord. Despite his title of Right Hand, Kaime views himself as little more than a tool for his Lord and would willingly follow any order given to him by his Lord, even if the end result would be his own death. No risk taken on behalf of his Lord is too small for Kaime; he will see his task through to the very end.
He is a reserved and relatively quiet individual, normally fairly soft-spoken when he does speak, his voice barely shifting from its usual calm monotone. While around others in position of authority and/or power Kaime will show them their due respect but unless told to do so by his Lord Morona he will not follow direct orders from them.
Kaime has a low opinion of himself, which is why he views himself as a tool for his Lord, and as such brushes off any insult aimed at him with an air of mild amusement. However, Kaime takes insults about his Lord very personally and normally has to remind himself that he is a representative of his Lord or wait until he is scalded by Alexia for getting angry.
Kaime has something of a complex relationship with Alexia; he admits freely that he harbours genuine feelings for her, making his relationship with her something deeper than a simple friendship. However, it isn’t a romantic infatuation.
When involved in a combat situation Kaime will move slowly, and carefully, ensuring that he plans his every move through to the finest point possible. He has to avoid taking even the smallest cut and his movements and actions reflect that, otherwise his calm-brutality on the field seems him coming up with some very inventive kills.
The sight of Kaime’s blood has a frightening effect on him; it triggers something that drives completely and utterly berserk. During this time-frame reason does not exist, nor does friend or foe, Kaime will attack relentlessly and he will not discriminate. He will attack anyone, heedless of any further wounds he takes, heedless of any pleas they may scream. He is little more than an animal in this state and despite the fact that he has an already low opinion of himself it is a side of his being that he is ashamed of.

Kaime’s weapon of choice, it measures a length of roughly 6 foot long and while closed it looks like a gnarled stave with a sharpened piece of metal skilfully crafted into the top foot and a half or so of it, which ends in a small curved blade. At the top of the wooden haft, seemingly also attached to the dark-metal in the top portion is a moderately sized blazing red gem of some variety –this is the item containing Alexia- making this stave look like an expertly crafted work-of-art as opposed to a weapon.
When the weapon is open it is revealed in all its vicious beauty. The seemingly useless piece of dark-metal and short blade shift position to reveal the large scythe blade.
This weapon is of the finest demon-craft available within Empire Nirvana and rivals some of the Elves finest weaponry. It is nigh-on indestructible and the scythe-blade will never require sharpening, it is a brutal instrument of war that was crafted for Kaime and Alexia.
Name: Alexia
Age: Exact age unknown, somewhere between 600 and 1
Race: Cursed Soul [She may have once be Human. Or demon, she’s past the point of caring what she used to be.]
Sex: Female
Personality: Alexia is a relatively self-important individual whom often elects to reserve the bulk of what she has to say for Kaime. That’s not because she’s shy, nor reserved, no. She just deems contact with other beings to be a pointless waste of time, they’re simply not important enough to warrant her attention regardless of who they are.
The only exception to this is Morona, whom she treats with the respect owed to his history and power, nothing more. She does not see him as her Lord and often ignores any instructions he has for her, she has made it a point to tell people that she is around for Kaime and no-one else. Much like Kaime towards her, Alexia also harbours genuine feelings for Kaime to the point where they’re more than friends, but their relationship is not a romantic infatuation.
Kaime is her Prince and she will often rush to his defence if he is ever insulted regardless of whether or not Kaime wants her help at the time, she is not a representative of Morona’s Kingdom and will make it a point to scathe people that speak ill toward her Prince.
The one thing that tends to perplex Alexia above all else is Kaime’s almost blind loyalty to Morona, she frequently questions and sometimes teases him about it. But the lack of explanation or reasoning for his loyalty leaves her confused. She fears that one day Kaime’s loyalty will end up getting him killed, and she can’t imagine herself being without him.
She often acts as a morale rock for Kaime, the two are inseparable and (though Kaime doesn’t admit to it) the two of them hate being apart.
Whenever Kaime gets wounded in battle she attempts to heal the wound as quickly as possible, but her magical abilities are very limited and she often has to warn Kaime in advance not to look at a wound. She hates seeing her Prince go berserk. Seeing Kaime lose himself when he sees his own blood causes Alexia immeasurable distress.
History:
Kaime’s history is mostly a fragmented mess, he remembers only several events in his life before he for some reason moved to the mainland of Empire Nirvana. The first was during some-point in his teenage years, perhaps in the brash arrogance of youth he tried to kill a juvenile wyvern by himself and ended up getting stung and beaten by his mentor after eventually being rescued.
The second actually being his leaving the off-land part of Empire Nirvana he grew up in to live in the mainland, though he has no idea why he ended up doing that. Perhaps that was in part down to him wishing to see the rest of the Empire before deciding what he wanted to do with his life.
Any events before those during his child and teenage years are little more than empty space to Kaime. Anything else after moving to the mainland remains with him.
Shortly after arriving at the mainland he was turned away and was forced to enter it illegally, however, he managed it and ended up with a small group of guards. He spent a couple of months with them before their hideaway as was attacked by a well-armed group of mercenaries forcing them all to flee their own separate ways.
Alone, Kaime ended up in an old shrine, whom or what it was dedicated to escaped him, but on the run he had little time to think about anything. It was deep within these ruins that Kaime found an odd kind of gem-like object; this marked his meeting with Alexia. They had little time to converse though, as Kaime’s pursuers caught him.
Nowhere to run Kaime fought back with no weapon, he remembers taking a small cut on his right arm and then nothing.
He woke to the sound of gentle laughter, Alexia telling him that what she saw was a frightening display. Kaime refused to listen to the specifics, he didn’t want to know what he had done to his pursuers when the only hints of dead bodies he was able to find were the pools of blood and pulp scattered around the chamber he had been in.
Without thinking, he picked up the object containing Alexia and fled, taking any money he could find with him. He moved further into the Empire, into the more civilised area. He spent a little over a year here as a mercenary and gained a respectable reputation, with a regular source of income he often took to help some people living in harsher conditions than himself, no matter how much Alexia disliked it.
That, however, ended suddenly when walking through one of the more noble areas of the Empire. He came across a small child crouched over a corpse with a knife in his hands surrounded by guards; he didn’t hesitate and rushed to the child’s aid, killing several soldiers in the process. Almost literally throwing the child over his shoulder he turned and ran, killing several more guards in the process and destroying a guard-gate during his escape.
That earned him the attention of Emperor Solomon, whom sent his best after Kaime. After some time on the run Kaime eventually made it to his destination, an occupied stronghold former used during the human invasion of these lands. He was welcomed among the many outcasts and other “lawbreakers”, but soon rushed back out grabbing whatever he could to use a weapon, in his haste he ended up confronting Solomon’s Elite with a still half-full bottle of liquor and a blunt-rusted knife.
He wasn’t able to fight them effectively until he was eventually able to break the bottle over the head of one of his enemies. His victory followed soon after, however, the fight had become intense enough to almost completely drain Kaime of whatever energy he had left after his time spent running.
His day wasn’t done though; he was approached by a frightfully tall man whom introduced himself as Morona. At first Kaime was terrified and made to slash his own throat with the broken bottle he still held, however, it was then he noticed the large crowd willingly following the man. Listening to Alexia he dropped the bottle and pledged himself to Morona as his loyal servant in the ancient language. (Though that was the point at which she started to protest. She had told Kaime to follow reason and hear Morona out, not to become what she deemed to be his slave.)
Though he had only just arrived Kaime was then able to convince everyone that was hiding to follow Morona willingly. In the days to follow Kaime was made a weapon which Alexia’s “home” was worked into (by her own request, which at the time Kaime had found odd.) A kingdom was built and they were leaving Empire Nirvana, at least that was how Kaime saw it, everything had happened so fast that he was unable to understand exactly what had happened.
During the first few days of their journey Morona offered Kaime the chance to learn what he would need to learn while under his rule. Kaime accepted despite the warnings that the method Morona was going to use could have some negative effects on Kaime.
It was after Morona had given Kaime what he promised that he realised that much of his memory concerning his life before living on the mainland was gone, just emptiness where memories once existed. But Kaime did not despair; he had accepted the risks willingly and was able to bear the repercussions without remorse.
They spent some time travelling, Kaime learning how to use his scythe in a single hand alongside his duties to Morona (the former proving to be the more difficult task). And alongside this his relationship with Alexia was growing stronger as time went on.
After some time on the move, they eventually found new land they thought they would be able to settle on, it looked vibrant and able to support life, however, the natives were not happy about their arrival. Unaccustomed to other people and demons (which Kaime had only recently discovered that their kingdom currently rested on the back of a huge demonic creature) they attacked on sight. They spent several days defending their position, trying to find a way to reason with their aggressors, it was only after Kaime ended up taking a wound and going berserk as a result, that Morona had decided to leave to find somewhere more civil to settle. They have been on the move since, looking for somewhere to settle.
Notes:
The reason behind Kaime’s left arm being constantly bandaged and secured by his gauntlet is down to the fact that despite him being saved from death when he was stung by the wyvern the venom caused irreparable damage to the nerves in his left arm leaving him with no feeling in his left arm whatsoever.
This is partly to keep the bones in place when he inevitably breaks his arm and to prevent them from protruding through his skin at inopportune times without him noticing. It doubles as a safety measure to prevent him from unknowingly looking at a wound on his left arm and going berserk from it because he had no idea the wound was there.
Kaime’s blood actually has a very slight –but noticeable- metallic purple tinge to it.
Much like Morona, Kaime lacks the accent of his native land and has no memory of how to speak his native language.
Kaime speaks in a voice that is somewhat flat and dull, which often borders on a monotone at times. This is because he doesn’t know exactly how to express certain emotions and feeling through his new-found voice.
