I also have an elven scholar character who I could easily find an excuse for being there. How they would meet or what they would do, I don't know, but I'm up for just about anything. =)

Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I'm thinking Thenidiel would sometimes take walks through the town to get a feel of how people respond to her rule as countess since people talk more freely about town than in her court. Dunno about what they'd do once they ran into each other though.

Kayasaurus: Sure. Thenidiel's gonna be so jealous of Laemiri, though. Polite as all get-out, but she'd totally want Eitauv.

phrostphyre: Very interesting character. I definitely thing they could work together though his loyalty to the queen would be a sticking point for her, even if he doesn't know it. She'd also be surprised to see hair akin to her own since it's uncommon in her city.

Hmm. Maybe we could do a thread with Ari ,Laemiri, Eitauv, AND Thenideil? Seeing as one will be a bit jealous and the other will be cold and uncaring. Laemiri is blind though, and gonna croak here soon. Maybe this could be the thread? I could see a really interesting plot comin outta this.

Ravnson has killed humans, elves, Urgals. He hasn't killed a Rider. But the only way he would directly attack a Rider would be if they posed a threat to Osilon, Ari, or the Queen. He hasn't survived for so long for no reason.

I could definitely see Thenidiel trying to set things up to get Laemiri killed so she could have a bit of a hold over Ravnson (since she'd then let him know that his fears were unfounded, so nobody wants to let it loose that he killed a rider) and get Eitauv in the process. Whether she's successful in her endeavors or not will be seen.

Psh, Eitauv would probably try and fry her if she went after Laemiri. But it would make an interesting plot, to be sure. She's already weakened and blind as it is. Eitauv is the only thing really keeping her around anymore, and he's been working at it pretty hard too.

Ari is not a she. Just to be clear on that. What would Laemiri be doing that he would construe as a threat to Osilon, the Queen, or Du Weldenvarden, and enough of a threat at that to just kill her?

Her was directed towards Thenidiel. And I dunno. What can you think of? Maybe she went a little bonkers from her illness and wanted to start mass murdering?

That would definately elicit a reaction from Ari's household troops in Osilon, but for him to appear, she'd have to be holding like, an orphanage hostage. Or several orphanages. Or a Count or Countess.

Well, Thenidiel is a countess and if she's trying to pull the strings behind the stage of it all, she could make it seem like, in Laemiri's madness, she threatened her life. Then, of course, after it's all over, Thenidiel at least tries to go 'I never said such a thing! Oh, woe is us! Blackmail time...'

I just had an idea. Ari had a child, right? Yeaaah. Well, what if his child, instead of being dead, was actually kidnapped? He would set the forest on fire to get his kid back. Now if we can do anything with that, I shall wait and see.
