Name: Faerior Eaglecaster
Age: 80
Race: elf
Occupation: healer but plans to become a dragon rider
Allegiance: DuWeldenvarden
Physical Description: Faerior is a pale, athletically built elf with long, raven black hair and royal blue eyes. He's about 5'10" and is very fit from long morning runs and hour long sessions every day, honing his archery skills. He almost never goes anywhere without his bow and arrows and a long slender elven sword. He typically wears a blue and brown ensemble and only wears robes when in the presence of important people or special occasions.
Personality: Faerior is a very adventurous elf and can usually be found spending time in the wilds. He's very outgoing and is probably considered anti-social by most. A typical day for Faerior would be to get up and go for a morning jog with his tawny eagle companion, Fawkes. He then has breakfast and spends an hour on his archery skills. After that he reads in his library or goes into the woods. He spends a few hours with his horse, Belladonna and after a good lunch spends the rest of his evening reading or hunting. Faerior is very bright and is very logically but his temper can sometimes lead him into trouble. He's usually respectful of his elders and he loves all animals. He doesn't understand why humans are so hated but he listens and stays away from them.
Companions: Other then the minimum time he spends with his own kind. Faerior rarely enjoys the company of his fellow elves and perfers to spend most of his time with his two pets.
Belladonna: The most ill-tempered mare ever seen until Faerior saw her and developed a strong bond with her. Now she follows him everywhere and is willing to do anything for him. She's very brave and just wants to please her owner. Bella doesn't very often take kindly to strangers but with patience will grow to love a stranger. She also likes to race with Fawkes.
Fawkes: Rescued when he was just a chick, Fawkes is very protective of his family (Faerior and Bella). Faerior took care of Fawkes until he was able to be released, but the bird could not leave his new friends. After being accepted by a mate, Fawkes continues to visit his elf friend. He's very big for an average eagle and has gained much respect among his own kind. If needed he could have large numbers at his call. Although he does not live with Faerior all the time, he's never far from the elf's home.
History: Growing up was fairly difficult for Faerior. His biological mother gave him up for adoption when his father past away. He then sent to another family who took him and treated fairly well but it was nothing as to how they treated their own daughter. While he still got fed and clothed and treated properly, he still never felt like he belonged. However, they don't praise him and he feels he can never live up to their high standards. Unlike his own mother, his adoptive family are rich and have friends in high places. His schooling was for the most part the same and he engaged in class less and less. However, his most favourite activities were always when they were outside engaging in nature. He felt like he was supposed to help the animals in the forest and seeked refuge there when he needed to be along. After that came his teachings from the riders. It was during his years learning from them that he finally found something that called to him. He loved learning about magic and of the dragons. During those times he loved to run in the forest and pretend he had a dragon at his side doing battle against urgals. When his adoptive father died, his mother finally stopped pretending she loved him and spent more time with her daughter. But, that was fine with Faerior and he remained content with his animal friends. He was sad to see his adoptive father go, but he always reflected that they were and could never see him as their son. When he was finally able to live on his own, he took the chance. He still spends some time with his adoptive parents but only when needed. Faerior dreams of becoming a dragon rider where he can finally prove to the world that he has a place and a reason. He wants to be recognized and perhaps help more when he can. In the meantime, he's happy to spend his time in the woods or near the lakes. He also wants to settle down and have a family, but that has slowly become a dream and nothing more.
Roleplaying Sample: Deep in the forests, in a meadow, the land is calm and peaceful. The deer munch happily on the rich grass and the birds fly by overhead. Suddenly a howl disrupts the peace followed by the thunder of hooves. Just then an elf riding a beautiful horse jumps into view, sending animals running to hide. The young elf's name is Faerior who has once again disobeyed his mother. Hot on his trail is young black wolf who howls as he runs after the horse and elf. After a few minutes, he pulls his horse to a trot and eventually stops as he surveys the area. He's lead the trio thick into urgal territory but, it doesn't bother the adventurous elf. Hopping off his mare who is breathing heavily and damp from a long run, he pulls out his bow and arrows and fires one a tree that misses by a few feet, almost hitting his wolf friend that had lying in the shade.
