I'm called: Celeste Lovett
And I'm: 21
I was born a:Human
But was destined to become a: Pirate and mystic/witch doctor
I'm only loyal to: Herself and her crew
When I look in the mirror I see: Celeste stands in at just under five foot seven, an average height for a woman. She's got a pale complexion, despite having spent most of her life outdoors doing hard work. Her skin just doesn't soak up the sun like most. She has long, barely curled red hair that falls past her shoulderblades to the middle of her back. It isn't just one shade of red, but many different colors in one. Her eyes are green, a funny pale jade color that looks soft even when she's angry. She has a straight nose that ends just above her pale mouth, with no sharp edges or offshoots that indicate a break.
I'm told that I'm: Celeste appears to be rather mysterious and enigmatic. She is constantly casting soft smiles and knowing glances to those who come to her, confusing them while also reeling them in close to her. She enjoys speaking in riddles, perhaps taking joy in having people figure them out for themselves. She can be kind, unless dealing with prisoners, whereupon she can be a cruel and heartless woman. Her demeanor changes as often as the sea, depending upon the company she is in. She has been described before as being "A glass of wine with a nasty shot of whiskey thrown in to make it bitter." It's not uncommon to hear her described as "an angel with the devil inside her." She's not afraid to use any language that a man does, surprising many. She does, however, tend to her crew alongside her ship's surgeon, using the information she was taught as a child. She can sometimes be seen as a stern though benevolent captain, but if roused to anger, her fury knows no bounds.
History: Celeste was born to a wealthy merchant, the youngest of six children. She had all brothers and was often engaged in their rough and tumble games, having no girls her age to play with. Her father kept a host of slaves and such to tend to the house and his daughter. One of which, a slave woman named Kimyia, taught her alot. She taught her how to heal, how to read palms and tarot cards, how to channel her thoughts and protect them from "evil spirits"; the evil spirits being those who could use magic. At sixteen she went on a voyage across to Alagaesia with her father, where they were set upon by pirates. They had sold everything in their old country, including letting old Kimyia go free, before setting out for Alagaesia. The pirates murdered her father, and her three remaining brothers. The other three had passed on over the years due to different illnesses and accidents. She was taken to the brig of the ship, held there for a couple of months until she was sold to a different pirate for a substantial amount of money in a pirate's port. She managed to get along with this captain a bit, learning how to run a ship inside and out from top to bottom, to the point she was appointed Bo'sun. In a battle with her past kidnapper who had killed her father and brothers, the enemy ship was sunken. But in the process it had killed her captain and First mate. She took over from there, by popular vote. In the years since, she has found an entirely new crew, her past crew having all met their life expectancy limits. She now sails the seas around Alagaesia, making port as often as needs be to restock her ship. She preys on fat merchant sailors, and takes the steps necessary in order to avoid other pirates.
