Name:Kiana Alveda
Age: 18
Race: Human
Occupation: None as of yet, herlover pays for what they need
Allegiance: Osilon, Duweldenvarden
Physical Description: Kiana Alveda's looks do not distinguish her from other humans, and she is not the type of beauty to steal away any one's heart. Plain brown hair, pale skin, and a round face are not the glamorous looks that many of the busty women of Alagaesia possess, and yet her delicate beauty, and the modest way she portrays herself can give her the second glance most women so desire.
Kiana has a small stature standing at only 5'4. She has small legs, small arms, small everything in fact, including her breasts. This fact has not bothered her in the least, as it might have with other women. Kiana's skin is a pale, pasty color with no hint of sunlight ever having touched it. Kiana does nothing to change this, as she feels natural beauty is the most beautiful, and most menconsider her pale skin very attractive and increase her worth in their eyes. Kiana's lips are, in all honesty, one of her best feautures. Full and moist, they are larger than most lips, and are a deep red color without the aid of a lip balm or lipstick. They never get dry, and in general requires no care from Kiana.
Kiana's eyes are a grayish hazel, gray from afar but once you get up close, several lighter shades of brown appear in her eyes as well. Her eyes are large, with long eyelashes and a cute little button nose smackdown in the middle. Her face is large and circle-shaped, with a long forehead.
Her hair is a simple brown color. No extra words to describe the color, because it is just simply a plain brown. A light brown if you'd like to call it that, but otherwise just brown, and that's how Kiana prefers it. Her hair is naturally wavy, and likes to do it's own thing. It goes from day to day, and Kiana has fun with letting some of it hang down, and having another part of it tied up, and maybe having feathers thrown in in some places. The way she does her hair gives her a natural look, which could either make her wanted more by men, or could just as easily turn them off.
Kiana likes to wear simple clothes with simple colors. Nothing too fancy, despite the amount of money she gets from Ari. Simple homewoven dresses serve her just as fine as pants and a shirt. Kiana wears no jewelry whatsoever, and no make-up as well. Kiana is a strong believer in letting people see who you really are, instead of hiding behind riches and make-ups.
Personality: To describe Kiana in one word, the best word would be: real. She is real in that she doesn't wear pounds of make-up, and she doesn't hide behind fancy clothes and jewlery, but rather wants people to see who she is when they see her.
Kiana definitely is honest. Lying is a second language to her, as for one she doesn't like to do it, and for two she is so bad at it. She stutters and fumbles around when she tries lying, and in the end she just gets caught. So, she just goes with being honest from the start. This is a really good feature of hers, and some admire it while others scorn her for her weakness. Either way she doesn't care, and definitely views liars with contempt.
That brings us to our second trait of hers: she just doesn't care what people think. She could care less what people think of her when they hear she ended up in Illirea with two children and the father absent. She could care less what the rich women think when they see her hair and what she wears. In fact, she cares so little about people's opinions, she rarely forms her own. Sure, she sees things she doesn't like, but only the really horrible will evict an opinion from her: slavery, abuse etc. if someone wants to go ruin their own life, let them do it, is her motto.
Kiana is also loyal to a fault. She loves Ari, obviously, and though she can't have him, she wouldn't in any way cheat on him, or even think about being with someone else. He is the father of her children, and even the thought of being with someone else could fill Kiana with disgust. She is also loyal to her babies, Mari and Magnus, and everything she does she does to help them in some way. Kiana is not a selfish person, and is always trying to give to those closest to her instead of taking for her own personal gain.
On the matter of whose side she is on between elves and humans, Kiana has no opinion. Both sides have commited horrible crimes, and she has no opinion, especially for the sake of her children, who are part-elf and part-human. She doesn't want them to feal like they have to choose between one or the other just because of what their mom thinks.
History: Kiana was born in a small village just east of the most western reaches of Duweldenvarden. Her village had been hit hard in the Blue Divide, and manyhad lost their lives. Kiana's great-grandfather had actually perished in the war, but Kiana's father hadn't been born yet. After the Blue Divide, the village began rebuilding, and the Fair Folk slowly melted back into their forests, leaving the village alone.
Kiana was born during one of the good points in the village's rebuilding period. Trade with other villages and and cities was flourishing, and the Fair Folk hadn't bothered them in years. Kiana's father was a hunter, while her mother was a weaver of blankets and clothes. Kiana recieved what little education there was in the village, yet at age 7 she was discovered to have great musical talent, both vocally and instrumentally. She was given flutes, harps, drums and other instruments and was asked to perform in front of the village, which she did and she got great pleasure from it. There was only one storyteller left in the village, and he chose Kiana as his apprentice.
Instead of learning the facts of history now, Kiana began learning how to sing it, and or tell it in a story, and point out the hero, or the love story. Kiana's voice was refined and her teacher was relaxed. Kiana's life was this simple for another 7 years, but when she was 14, her teacher died. It was a sad time for Kiana, and she went into a slight depression that it seemed no one could get her out of. But her music guided her, and she was out of it as soon as it started.
Now the full storyteller for the village, Kiana had performances almost every night for the village. She was adored by all, and her stories were cherished. There was no end to the lines of suitors who wanted her hand, and there wasn't a soul who had no appreciation for her. Kiana declined every hand, as not one of them felt right for her. Her true love would find her when she was 17.
Kiana was walking along the lines of the forest, singing a song about love and life. She had accompanied her father on his hunting trip, and was looking for herbs for them to be able to cook with. However she didn't realize that she was getting deep into the forest, until she heard a snap of a twig behind her. She turned, and there was a bear, a giant grizzly, and it was looking right at her. With no time to fully process what was happening, she attempted to run, but the bear overcame her and attacked. It bit into her left arm, but just as it latched on, its teeth digging into her arm, it's jaws relaxed. In tears, Kiana was able to identify a figure standing some 7 feet away. Kiana was only semi-conscious though, and soon passed out.
When she awoke, she was lying in a bed in a well-furnished room, a room she had never seen before. Next to her was a man, well-built and muscled, and upon further glance: an elf. Kiana, being a storyteller, had told stories of the crimes elves committed, and the dangers they possessed, and she shrunk away from him, trying to hide. However he soon explained he had saved her life, and healed her wound. Remembering the bear, and the figure, Kiana had relaxed, opening herself up to this elf, who quickly identified himself as Ari ravnson, Count of Osilon.
From there, things went fast. Kiana was ready to leace, yet for some reason she found that she wasn't quite ready to leave Ari. And it seemed he didn't want her to leave either. They were perplexed by each other, and curious. And so, when Ari asked if she would stay one more night, she agreed. But then it became another night, and another, and another, and Kiana had all but forgotten her family and friends in her village. Her life was slowly beginning to revolve around Ari. And then their relationship got serious. Almost no time had passed, and yet Ari wasalready asking her to be his mate. Kiana was dumbfounded. Already? And what's a mate? But Ari explained: Elves lived longer, and their mates were chosen sometimes as spur of the moment, it could always be ended whenever they wanted it to be done. So Kiana agreed, seeing no harm in it. They became mates.
But a couple months after that, of Ari visiting this estate with only Kiana and a single servant init, Kiana became pregnant. Kiana was overjoyed, and so was Ari, but he was saddened as well. He explained to Kiana what half-elves were, andhow they were viewed, and told her she would have to leave Du Weldenvarden as soon as the children were born. He would arrange safe passage, and would continue to support them wherever they went. And so all that was left to do was to wait for the children to be born.
Marianna Raisa Aridottir and Magnus Orion Ravnson were born only minutes apart, Mari being the oldest one. For the past 5 months Kiana had been living in Ari's estate, with him visiting often. But as soon as Kiana was able to leave, Ari arranged it. She would leave in the dead of night, and flee to Illirea. He would give her money now, and then would send some to the apartment he had already purchased. And then it was time to go. Ari desperately wanted his kids to stay, and he cherished them that day, but then it was time to leave, and Ari sent them off.
The journey to Illirea was easy. Kiana was accompanied by the single servant Ari had possessed in his manor, and Mani, as she was called, showed them to Illirea. It was a huge city, nothing like where Kiana had lived before, and it filled her with joy. She found her apartment easily, and from there she raises her two children on her own, with an almost constant flow of money coming from Ari. Kiana has since gotten a job as an entertainer for the inn below her, i.e. she sings, tells stories. Mani, however left the city after Kiana was settled in, and returned to Duweldenvarden to resume her work at Ari's side.
