Name: Onika Arianne Dvedo-Zhen
Age: 25
Race: Human
Occupation: Nobility
Allegiance: The newly formed Torud C’abbal
Physical Description:
Onika is widely regarded as one of the most colorful figures of Carvalan Nobility, due to her outlandish fashion statements, constantly changing hair, and the multiple personalities said to dwell within her. Despite her ever changing appearance, Onika is easily recognized, and is admired by many of the youth in the Capital.
Onika has the dark complexion of the nomadic tribes of the Hadarac, but because of her heritage, she has been given the luxury to be able to work as little as possible, and spends much of her time indoors, which has lightened her skin tone over the years. With the use of much lotion, and lucky genetics, her skin is very clear, and soft to the touch. She spends much time on her skin because much of the clothing she wears is very revealing, and her legs are almost fully out on display.
Onika is known for her changing hair color, which can range from blue, to green, to blonde , to black. However, she is most seen with black hair, that gets down to her shoulders. She wears it in different styles, from straight, to curly, to wavy. Onika claims that the way she does her hair is controlled by whatever personality is controlling her at the time. Onika has never been known to wear the same hair multiple days in a row, adding to the eccentricity of this countess.
Onika stands at 5’6, but is almost always wearing heels that add at least ‘2 inches to her height. She weighs 125 pounds, most of the weight coming from her breasts and butt. Onika has no muscle definition, but isn’t fat, or too skinny either. Onika is much appreciated by the general male population for her more than generous curves, which Onika has no qualms about showing off.
Onika’s face is almost always layered with makeup, yet once again, this makeup is always changing. However, her eyes are a light gray color, and never change. They are slightly angled downwards, and always have a ring of makeup surrounding them, the color matching her hair. Her nose is straight and defined, providing a perfect symmetrical line for the rest of her face. Onika carefully keeps her eyebrows thin and “pretty”, considering it a sin to let them grow out. Her lips are full and enticing, also never allowed to not be draped in some sort of lipstick, or gloss.
The clothing that Onika prefers to wear is generally very bright, and very unique as well. Ranging from corsets, to almost nothing, to tight leather outfits, Onika enjoys making a statement and getting the attention of people. She is also very fond of jewelry, and wears multiple rings, necklaces, earrings, and sometimes even jewels in her nose, belly button, or other odd places.
She speaks with an accent, and slips into her grandmother’s native tongue often when she speaks, using her hands animatedly and allowing her emotions to pass across her face.
Personality:
When Onika is Onika, and her normal self, she tends to be shallow, lazy, materialistic, bubbly, and cunning. From an early age, she was showered with everything that she wanted, and was taught that work wasn’t necessary to be rich beyond your wildest dreams. Well, she took a liking to that motto, and has barely worked since, relying on her family’s merchant money to keep her secure. With her family’s money, she tends to pay for clothing, jewelry, and secrets. Onika isn’t trustworthy, and enjoys participating in, and viewing deceptions, betrayals, and lies. However, there is more to Onika then meets the eye. There are two other “people” that live inside her, and they fight over control over her body. Whether this is true or not, no one can tell. But, what people do know is Onika is a coin that is always spinning, and who she is going to be each day is unknown.
Drea: Drea is one of the other two mentalities, or spirits, that occasionally comes out of Onika. Drea is fond of color, and is even more shallow then Onika usually is. But, Drea has a nicer side to her than Onika does, and tries to stay away from conflict as much as she can. She despises liars and cheats, and tries to be as loyal and honest as possible, even when Onika has messed things up. Drea is usually seen in pink, blue, or other bright colored wigs, and the same colored clothing. Surprisingly, when Drea “comes out” and she talks, her accent goes away, and is replaced by a high-pitched, nasaly voice. Drea is also very melodramatic, and takes the smallest of slights personally, and reacts more than is necessary. Drea is a more childish form of Onika, unengaged in politics and betrayals, and more obsessed with clothing, friends, and color. The darker side of Onika comes out in Arache.
Arache: Arache is the vicious one of the trio. She is cunning, vicious, apathetic, and in general, angry. She is very smart, and tends to tone down the craziness when she dresses. Arache is constantly rebuilding what Drea destroys, and is the one known to start betrayals, and originally create the lies. Whereas Drea is the friendly one, Arache is the exact opposite. She is antisocial, doesn’t get along well with others, and despises the burdens that come with being nice. Arache is the one that originally got in to the Torrud C’abal, and deals with the negotiations between members. Arache comes out the least, but when she does, those who understand Onika know. Arache wears black, and only black, considering a love of color to be primitive. When Arache speaks, it is clipped, proper, and there is a menacing tone to it that can intimidate even the strongest of men.
History:
Onika’s lineage comes from deep within the heart of the Hadarac Desert, to a band of clans that traded food, water, and cloth. Her Great-Grandparents were the clan leaders of the strongest clan, but after their first child died, they left the desert in search of a place that was safer, and water and food weren’t always desperate to find. When they reached Carvala, they had their second child, Onika’s grandmother. By this point, they were barely making any money, and were consuming unhealthy food and water to get by. But, unbeknownst to almost all, Onika’s grandmother was not her great-grandfather’s, but in fact a wealthy Count’s who had been sleeping with Onika’s great-grandmother.
Onika’s Great-grandmother knew that by revealing the information, it would give her husband the right to kill her, but would also force the father of her child to raise the girl, giving her a better shot at life. So, after almost no thought, she came forward with the news to her husband and the baby’s father. Afraid of being ashamed in front of the nobility of Carvala, the father agreed to take in the baby, claiming it as his own, but wouldn’t allow the identity of the mother to be known. So, the woman had no protection when her husband slit her throat due to her infidelity.
Onika’s grandmother, Arianne, was given everything her mother had hoped for. She received schooling, learned her letters, and was properly raised by her father. Although the public, and more importantly the other nobility, wanted answers as to where this dark-skinned girl came from, no one publicly came forward. Arianne’s father, however, died when she was only 13, leaving her the sole heiress to her father’s fortune. Although intimidated and alone, she proceeded to take control over her late father’s cloth and linen empire, and going as far as to make it more powerful than it was during her father’s control. And, when the time came, she married another minor noble, bringing their wealth together and creating a small empire for themselves.
Arianne and her new husband had only one child, Onika’s father. He was just like Arianne, ambitious and ruthless, and only at the age of 11 was running small parts of the family business. Eventually Arianne died, and with her the secret of her heritage and where she really came from, although Onika would eventually find it out when reading her grandmother’s diary. The pattern continued, eventually with Onika being born, but sadly her mother dying during childbirth. From an early age, being an only child, Onika was spoiled rotten, and given everything she ever wanted. But, her father never had the time for her, and it is said that is one of the things that created her two “friends”.
When Onika was 8, she started changing her hair color. No one could figure out how, but when a local magician was asked, it was discovered Onika had minor talent for magic. Not wanting his only daughter to leave, he bribed the magician not to say anything, and then spread the rumor that the different colored hair was only wigs, hair from animals that was dyed and worn by his daughter as a new fashion statement. People took this to be true, and the topic was dropped. But, then other eccentricities began popping up. At 11, Onika started wearing weird clothes, clothes that had never been seen before. And then she started saying she wasn’t Onika, but a girl named Drea, and then there was Arachne, and then it was back to Onika. At this point, Onika’s father feared the worst for his daughter, but did nothing. Instead, he allowed her to go off on her own, and broke almost every tie with his freak of a daughter.
Onika’s adolescence was filled with days of doing absolutely nothing. She had no responsibilities, and instead discovered secrets about herself, and her family. When Onika was in her early 20’s, she was approached by a mysterious man who was inquiring from a group known as the Torrud C’abal. After several meetings with this shady character, she joined the group, and now serves them, creating a debacle of herself in public, but achieving hidden agendas and gaining fast growing love from the common people.
