[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]The distance from Osilon and Marna hadn’t been too far. Lyrt had led Mali on a path that seemed to follow the river so it explained why they didn’t stop to buy food before leaving Marna. Mali glanced over to Lyrt as they got closer to the city of Osilon.
Mali had been surprised when they first approached a forest. She had no idea where Ilirea was located in comparison to their current location and it wasn’t as if Lyrt would tell her. Mali had asked a few times which way they were headed and received the same answer every time until she started to annoy Lyrt with her questions and she concluded to threatening and yelling at the werecat.
At least there was something nice to be said about Lyrt. It had been a cold night during their travels. Usually, Mali would make a small nest for herself, curling up in her feline form with her tail wrapped around her. They travelled until Lyrt was tired and that wasn’t working so well for Mali. One morning she didn’t wake up and Lyrt found it appropriate to wake Mali by tugging on her tail rather harshly. However, there had been a moment where Lyrt had showed some kind of acceptance toward the werecat.
It was cold that night, far more so than usual. Even in her feline form and covered in fur, Mali still shivered. Deciding to take a chance, she moved over toward Lyrt and snuggled up next to her side. Mali didn’t open her eyes to see if Lyrt had woken up or not but didn’t feel any harsh abuse or being pushed away. That counted as acceptance, didn’t it?
The pair approached the walls of Osilon and Mali noted how there was a large gap between the dense forest and the stone walls. The trees hadn’t grown in the area and the ground appeared to be charred in a way. Had they purposely burned down the trees and for what reason?
She would have asked Lyrt but she’d been told not to ask any more questions since she was annoying the woman.
The walls were tall and thick as they stopped at the main entrance. Lyrt spoke with the people there as one of the guards eyed her up and down. Pulling her hood up a bit more, Mali noticed Lyrt moving through the gates and start to follow her. Mali was shocked upon getting past the walls. She had never seen an elven city like this one before.
Following Lyrt, assuming she knew where they were supposed to meet this Ari, Mali had to refrain from looking up too high. The buildings were so tall that if she were to try to see the entire building then her hood would fall off.
They soon got to a fancy looking building and Mali took a deep breath. Remember, stare between his legs, call him the terrible one, and refer to him as human. She could do this perfectly fine if only she felt more confident about meeting Ari.
