Now, as you all should well know, Proboards is a strictly PG-13 site. However, since this site is advertised all over Proboards Support, we need to be especially careful, and I will be particularly strong about this rule, because we'll have Proboards staff regularly looking over this site to make sure it passes their expectations.
However, a lot of people don't know what exactly constitutes a PG-13 rating, and I don't want people freaking out over it so much that this turns into a totally clean, G-rated RP. That wouldn't be any fun! XD So, I'm going to explain the rating to you guys.
Basically, the line between PG-13 and R is explicit description. Take, for instance, sex- you can mention it, build up a sex scene and write its aftermath, and even do the same for a rape scene, which all fit a PG-13 rating. But writing the sex itself, consensual or not, is rated R. The same goes for drugs- you can mention drugs, but writing the actual use of it is rated R. As for violence- blood can be spilled, heads can be lopped off, but describing every detail down to the last organ hitting the floor is rated R.
We staff at least scan over every single thread on this site. If we catch you going above the PG-13 rating the first and second time, you will NOT be punished. You will receive a PM asking you to modify your post and tone it down in future posts, and ask you to read over this thread. Failure to do so will result in us modifying the rated R bits for you. The third time we catch you, however, will result in a week's ban from any RPing. If you're still going overboard after that, you risk being banned from the site entirely.
