I am so sorry to all those who have been looking for me, if you have.
On June 16, 2011, which was Thursday, I had some cramping in my lower abdomen, which got worse throughout the day. My husband had to rush me that evening to the Emergency Room at the Army Medical hospital to see what was causing the pain. Being pregnant, I was very concern for the baby and scared to death being in a Hospital, which I hate by the way. I had a high fever and I was in so much pain... That night, they admitted me, thinking it was just a small bug.
On the Seventeenth, I woke from the same pain and chills from another high fever. Morphine was not stopping the cramps and around noon, it was to the point of cramping every minute and I was rushed to Ultrasound to see what was going on. From there I was rushed to ICU and then from their, Labor and Delivery... I was only 15 Wks and 2 Days Pregnant at the time that I dilated to give birth to my Son. I had a miscarriage for a 15 week old baby, who held a beautiful face, all ten fingers, all ten toes, a cute nose and a little smile on his face. I was then sent into surgery to get the remaining parts of the placenta out and then to ICU.
On the Eighteenth I found out that I had had a infection that had started in the uterus, which had caused the Miscarriage in the first place. I was given a memory box by a wonderful nurse and pictures of my beautiful baby. I also got to hold the baby and it is about 4 inches long and maybe two inches wide. It was beautiful. We named the baby after the father, which was the original plan if we had a baby boy. From there, I received medicine for the fever and infection and admitted until the Twenty First to heal. My mother joined us from Alabama on the 20th and now that we are home, I am on a IV line with medicine to kill all the infection and so far, I am doing good.
I am back now and I will be able to post, which I am very happy about. I guess no more foals for me, but that is okay. So, I will be taking the Pregnancy thing out of my Signature and putting something in to my baby boy, James David Jr.
