Chapter 1: The Renaissance Gala

DUE TO THE MP NOW SHIFTING TO ITS THIRD AND FINAL STAGE, AS WELL AS ITS SLOW SPEED, NO MORE JOINERS ARE ALLOWED.

The Renaissance is a celebration held every year in Broddring to celebrate the rebirth of Nyx- She goes through four stages during the seasons of the year; a young girl in spring, a young woman in summer, a middle-aged woman in fall and finally an old woman in winter, at which point She dies during the winter solstice and is reborn.

During this particular winter solstice, a ball has been thrown in the king's palace in Carvala inviting nobility from Broddring and Du Weldenvarden- as elves and humans' one link is their religion. The Riders were astutely not invited, and, miraculously, many elves shall be attending the Gala, hosted by the Prophet of the Cathedral, Malandra Ramakrishna. Dinner will be preceded by dancing in the castle ballroom. Only ceremonial weapons are permitted in the castle, and only nobility may attend.

Naturally, however, some non-nobility may slip through the nets. ;D

Ze rules (new ones are bolded)-

1. No Riders. (Although considering I'm the only person with a Rider right now, this shouldn't pose a problem.)
2. Main plot posts always come before other posts. Even if someone's been waiting on you for a week in a private thread and you just got a reply in the MP, that comes first.
3. There is no posting order. It slows things WAY down, and I'm hoping to finish this thread around March.
4. Only one post every 24 hours, no exceptions, including ALL of your characters. You can't post with one character, and then with another two hours later and count it as one post. Breaking this rule will result in staff requesting its deletion.
5. From now on, every post you make should include- either at the top or at the bottom, your choice- the names of characters that you interacted with. It's like this: "Bob waved at Alice before going up to Fred and saying hello." So, you would mention that 'Bob- interacted with Alice and Fred.' This is because a lot of people are being totally ignored just cause people can't keep track of the sheer amount of information on the posts.

Please sign up what characters you'd like to bring into the thread here BEFORE posting in the main plot. There's no limit to when you can sign up or to the amount of characters you can bring in- unless, of course, you're insane like me and have umpteen. Then I'd say stick to five or six. XD

I FEEL THE NEED TO POINT OUT SOMETHING. Well, a few things. XD

1. One of the main reasons for this particular thread is for big-time interaction, so I can see how you guys manage in MPs. I KNOW it just got started and your posts are detailing how your character looks and got to the ball right now, but in later ones... don't be shy, mmkays? XD
2. Yes, we are STILL allowing people in. There are already twenty-five people and ten members, but we're not particularly sane individuals, are we? >
3. And the most important point- don't be afraid to try stuff out, and even be a little silly. This is probably the only MP thread that'll give you guys this much freedom, so just let loose. =D

OKAY. With March coming up fast and the thread- which is now a major stressor and getting to be little fun- just floating around with nobody posting in it, Emma is starting to lose her temper. I'm going to shove this thread into the third and final act in my next post no matter what happens, so if you guys have anything that you'd like to wrap up before all the characters go for dinner, do it before Friday, because that's when I'm going to post, regardless of any reservations. That is all.
