I said, grabbing a bucket from the first two stalls that had the names of two horses on them. I feed them all according to what they needed and then grabbed a large bag of feed and headed out to the cattle. I normally got the feed in barrels, but I transferred them to bags and had a few cats that kept the rats away.'our {brute*}
rainer--!The great city of Ilirea, the beautiful city known for history and for the mighty beast known as dragons. It was amazing, however, the city seemed to be quiet today, mostly because the downpour that seemed to be going on outside. I stood looking out the door to my home, a mug of coffee in my hands as I looked at the downpour. I had horses and cattle to feed and check on. Luckly, I had been able to raise the money up for some damn rocks to put on my path ways, at least I would not be walking on mud and getting too dirty or stuck. I was the main resource of food for the riders and dragons. I had cattle for the dragons and plenty of fruit and vegetables that had grown over the summer.
I was not too fond of rain, but it normally depicted my every day... Depressed, Angry, and nearly every other emotion that expressed hatred or something. I lived on the edge of the main gate to the city and normally, nobles walked by daily, which caused me to be like that. I hated nobles, more then anything else in this world. Ilirea did not have any, they had a few rich people, but they were at least worth something, they were smart... The city also held the dragon riders, something I enjoyed seeing. I actually felt happy here... I smiled slightly, something I did rarely in front of people and headed inside, grabbing a cloak and heading out, my boots thumping and crunching the rocks as I went inside the barn, where the horses slightly snorted in surprise. "Easy kids..."
I feed the cattle and then headed in, filling my mug again with something to drink and looking out the window towards the cattle, who were eating perfect. I knew I needed to get a few new steer to make sure the blood line did not get to thin and too close to everyone being all related. I normally sold the calves and some of the cows and such, allowing me to get new ones, but I needed a few more steer and then I would separate the cows into three herds or so and each year, remove them from that steer and do it again. After a few years, I would need to sell those steers and get some more.
As I was thinking to myself, I did not hear someone walking up my path, but the knock on my door was easy to hear.
