Name: Tyech Bakura Kanton
Age: 20
Race: Human
Occupation: Magic User
Allegiance: Himself
Physical Description: Tyech is slender for a Human. He is of average height at about 5’2”, which combined with his fluctuating but light body weight, causes him to appear quite wiry. His long limbs look even more distorted by the fact that he is quite flexible, to the point where his arms and legs are able to bend forward slightly at the joints.
Tyech’s hair is a light brown, and currently reaches down to his shoulders. It’s usually tangled in a mess, due to the fact that he can’t take care of it properly from being blind. His beard has also grown out quite a bit, and it causes him to look quite ‘wise’. Tyech used to have two brilliant blue eyes peeking out from his hair, but all that remains is a violent burn mark horizontally across his face. The lids are still there, but the flesh is pink from scarring.
Usually Tyech can be caught wearing a brown tunic with a hood from the shirt underneath the tunic. A brown belt keeps a flask of water and other useful items by his side. He wears long brown boots that are fit for travelling, they have tough leather on the bottom to survive in all conditions.
At the moment Tyech carries a common wooden staff. The only notable thing about it is the orange gem imbedded inside the staff, which he uses to store magical energy.

Personality: Tyech is a rather upbeat person. Even after being blinded, it was not long before his smile broke his depression, and had him trying to do tasks around towns (and failing horridly). While he appears to be happy and potentially laid-back, he actually realizes the need to take the initiative and get things done. Tyech always feels the need to help people out who are in trouble around him – though he has felt helpless lately due to his disability.
Tyech can also become impatient quickly. Inaction is his worst enemy, he must constantly be doing something. Meetings and council gatherings are the bane of his existence.
History: Tyech did not even know his parents. He was taken from them at an early age when his magical potential was realized. Ilerea was where he grew up, being trained by his mentor Alivon. Tyech proved to be quite difficult to train as a child, as he constantly wanted to do things on his own, and learn by himself. Alivon didn’t quite know what to do with him, especially after several attempts to run away. Eventually a system was established, that allowed Tyech to learn at his own quick pace, almost without limit to what he was allowed to attempt with magic. Admittedly there were several accidents at first, but it eventually began to pay off - with Tyech becoming a highly independent child.
Tyech became unusually powerful for a human, in regards to magic use. While not as proficient as perhaps, an Elf, he was bounds ahead of most humans at his age. When Tyech turned 16, he decided that he’d had enough of his life in Ilirea, and decided to make a final attempt at departure. He snuck parts of his meals away for a solid week, and gathered other nessecary supplies that he thought would be useful on his journey. He was entirely packed up and ready to go – he thought he’d completely given Alivon the slip, when he practically jogged right into him while leaving the city. To his surprise, Alivon had also packed – and was going to be travelling with him. Tyech was delighted by these changes of events, and went forth into the world with his mentor. They traveled across the continent together, while Alivon ceased teaching him magic – and began to teach him diplomacy and survival skills. It was a good two years before the duo ran into any significant trouble
Alivon taught Tyech to help others when needed, even at the expense of himself. They accepted many missions from locals, and became fairly well known vigilantes, if you could call them that. Most of the time they took on simple courier jobs, or took to guarding ships from pirates. Fate Finally struck when they went after a rogue magic user, who had been terrorizing a small fishing community. It turned out to be more than one trouble maker, and the two were thrust into a fight for their very lives. Alivon was knocked out and dragged off, while Tyech engaged in combat with another magic user. The end result was Tyech maiming his opponents body with a fire spell, though in a last ditch effort, Tyech’s enemy caught him in the face with his own fire spell. Tyech was left to die in the forest in which they had been fighting.
Through sheer dumb luck, Tyech escaped from the forest and back to the village; where he was nursed back to health (Though his eyes would remain forever charred.) He was lucky in the fact that his wound was cauterized by the flames, and there was no infection or bleeding. He began to use guard services to travel around after this incident, though he never found his mentor.
Roleplaying Sample:
The candle in front of Tyech exploded, the flames singed his eyebrows off and lit his hair on fire. “AHG!” He screamed, leaping backward from the small table at which he had been concentrating at. It took only a moment before his head was plunged in a bucket of water, extinguishing the blaze. He rapidly smacked at his head unbelieving that the flame could be gone.
Tyech was only a child, and he was already capable of uncontrolled bursts of magic. He had been concentrating intently for the past couple of hours on that candle, wanting to light it. Apparently his frustration had also built up over that time, and had been unleashed all at once! The door swung open, and a stern-faced Alivon shuffled into the room. “Well look, you only went and blew it up!” The older man exclaimed.
“It wasn’t my fault! I didn’t mean to!” Tyech shouted desperately, still rubbing his burnt hair. He looked down from Alivon’s face, unable to look him in the eye.
“Pfft, nonsense. You were blasted angry at the candle, so you killed it!” Alivon walked over to the table to examine the damage. “Spectacular! The blasted thing is gone!” Alivon shouted in excitement. It was rare that a human – especially at Tyech’s age, could unleash such an explosive force. Alivon eventually realized the potential ramifications of Tyech’s incident, and went from excited, back to his serious expression almost instantly. “Two weeks cleaning dishes for this, boy. I told you not to practice without me.” Alivon turned on his heel and stormed out of the room with a skip to his step that couldn’t be missed.
Needless to say, Tyech was terribly confused at the sudden appearance, excitement, punishment, and then exit from his mentor. He brushed the ashes from his hair, climbed into his small bed, and wondered what the heck had just happened to him.
Notes: He will Likely in his first post begin to learn how to see through Mind Reading.
