This moment, it could get no better then this, at least, not at the moment. If we were to get married, then I was sure it could get better, but we had only just met and though it felt so right, I did not want to start thinking of such things at the moment. I was not being courted by anyone, to my happiness and no man had ever really shown interest. Maybe it was because I was the King’s Niece and people were intimidated, but Darek was not. I looked at him with my emerald eyes, wanting to kiss him again. As he started singing, I could feel everything falling into perfect place.

As I joined him, it was nice to hear both of our voices together, even though mine held no words. I looked at him, closed my eyes every now and then and opened them once again to see him. As I wrapped my arms around his neck, I felt his tighten around my waist and I felt his lips crush against my own. It felt so right, so nice, kissing this man before me. As it broke, I smiled at him, looking into his eyes. ”I needed a beautiful song for you. It is hard to find words to express what you mean to me." I smiled softly at him, so charming he was.

[/color] I said softly, looking at him with tender eyes and letting my hand touch his face. I knew this form hid his true self, but I did not care, I would love both just as much. ”We should let Awiti know, and maybe the others if you believe they will understand." I looked at him for a moment, thinking about it. I knew my sister would have a fit, but possible Turin would understand and Awiti did like Darek. ”I will run it by Turin and Awiti first, before speaking to Nayeli.”[/color] I said to him softly.

" As you wish. You know them best after all." Darek said with a smile as he kissed her. " I do believe our dance was interrupted before we could finish. If I'm not mistaken, perhaps we could tomorrow?" Darek asked her with a sly smile on his face.

He knew he should not be encouraging her into this course of action, that he should be pushing her as far away as possible. But he couldn't. Just the feel of his arms around her made him smile. " What shall we do. Should we wait till morning to tell your younger sister?" Darek asked with an amused smile, as if he was talking about a small child he could carry around in his arms like an infant. " Or should we let her sleep? Either way dose not matter to me, as long as I am with you that is." Darek said running his hands through her black waterfall of hair.

”As you wish. You know them best after all." I nodded quickly. It was the truth, but it was also something that could end us both. Nayeli was like my uncle in a way, but she had more brains to know when someone was taking power from her, such as Malandra could easily do. Nayeli did not like the woman and neither did I. Nayeli had spoken to me before about how the woman could make anyone do what she wanted, but she had yet to deal with Nayeli herself. ”I do believe our dance was interrupted before we could finish. If I'm not mistaken, perhaps we could tomorrow?" I smiled at him sweetly, looking at him and nodding quickly. ”I would like that.”

[/color] I said to him. I wanted to finish the dance we had started, but if we started to dance now, I would probably stumble and fall. I needed a bath and the bed very soon.

He was charming and I could not wait to see him again, even though he was standing right here. I wanted to see him all the time, my heart was telling me to go to Ilirea when he left for there, but I knew such a action would cause my family to be angry. I knew they loved me, they wanted what was best for me. Moving right now would not be the best course of action.

”What shall we do. Should we wait till morning to tell your younger sister?" I smiled. I wanted to tell her now. But she was asleep by now, she would be too tired to think. ”Or should we let her sleep? Either way dose not matter to me, as long as I am with you that is." I thought about it for a moment and then looked down at his chest. ”Let her sleep. I will tell her in the morning.”[/color] I said, however, unknown to me, I would be woken early by Sean MacLauren and taken down to watch a Hostage training session.

Darek was happy that she wished to continue there dance some time soon but also saw that she was growing tired. " I believe you need to sleep, unlike me you are not used to staying up to the early hours of the morning. And believe me it is almost dawn, only an hour or two away. It is amazing how quickly time fly's when you are with someone you love is it not." Darek said with a smile and a kiss. " Shall I help you get your bath ready, before I leave? Or would you like me to wait until you are asleep to leave you?" Darek asked, wanting her opinion on the matter.

Leilani was a sweet innocent young woman, and Darek enjoyed the time they spent together. If it was up to him he would spend hours just sitting talking with her. Learning about her as she to learned more about him. He wanted them to be together, married and happy, but knew it was to soon to think of such things. Marriage without courtship was unheard of among humans without being called a harlot, and marriage itself was foreign among most elves. And because Darek wanted the best for her, he knew that she would not be able to keep such a thing like themselves a secret, so he had given her the completely choices of who she would allow to know about them.

" As you wish my lady. Shall I wait for you near her room in the morning? Or should I wait for your brother Turin. I could tell him while sparing if you liked, while you and your sisters speak. ?I'm sure he would not mind hearing from me that I have interests in you. HE seems to have a level head like you, and the fierceness of your sister inside of him. A good combination if I say so myself, and I would like to judge his skills with a blade." Darek admitted to her. It had been far to long since he had gone into a sword fight with someone of any skill besides beginner or novice.

It pleased me greatly to see a smile on his face as I said yes to the invitation to finish the dance. I was beyond excited myself, but my eyes were beginning to close without my knowledge and I knew sleep would soon be needed. Darek himself must of seen the same. ”I believe you need to sleep, unlike me you are not used to staying up to the early hours of the morning. I smiled, but my child side wanted to stay up long, wanted to stay up until the morning sun touched the stone of my wall, but I knew I needed to go to sleep.

His lips met mine for just a faction of a second and I smiled. ”Shall I help you get your bath ready, before I leave? Or would you like me to wait until you are asleep to leave you?" I chuckled lightly. ”I had a servant prepare it for me… It should still be warm, but if not, I can refresh it.”

[/color] I said to him softly, smiling at him brightly. He was so sweet and caring, I did not want him to go away. ”You may stay though… I can shut the door to the bathing room and come out once I am dressed.”[/color] I said, trying to think of something to wear. I smiled slightly, knowing the exact thing to put on.

I had a beautiful green sleeping gown and I was sure that Darek would like it. He had said that he liked green, since it would make my eyes show more. I could not help but smile at something like that and looked at him for a moment. It was true I guessed. Oh, how I wanted him to stay until morning, but I knew it would not be right. I was a young woman and I did not need a man staying with me while I slept, at least, not until I was married and I could only dream that it was with Darek.

Oh, stop it Leilani… You just met the man.[/color] I said to myself, arguing over something that I should have left alone. I should not be thinking about marriage right now. It was far too important to get to know him, not to be thinking about marriage. I thought carefully to myself, I needed to slow down and take my time. I knew that was what I needed to do. Sean would be boiling made if he knew Darek was here right now, but for once, it did not phase me at all. It was as if Sean had been pushed aside and my main focus was on Darek. Earlier this evening, I was praying to Nyx that Sean would dance with me, but I had only been granted Darek and now, I knew it was the best thing that had ever happened.

As it went on to telling my family, I felt a bit of nervousness pop up. I would not tell Nayeli until Turin was told, at least then, he could keep her calm and I would not have my head chopped off. ”As you wish my lady. Shall I wait for you near her room in the morning? I moved from Darek, back into the warmth of my room, opening my wardrobe and pulling out some night gowns, trying to find the one I wanted. I soon found the green one and I smiled, putting it on the bed so I could grab it on the way to my bathing room.

As he saw her inner child once more bud to the surface Darek spoke to her as if he were speaking to the child inside of her. " I promise you my young lady that when you awake, that I shall be waiting for you. And that you shall have me for all the time you wish." Darek said as he let his left hand run down her hair. " Here to prove it." Darek said as he untied the green ribbon from his hair and showed it to her. " This is my honor, and my creed. What I live by and what one day I shall die by. This I give o you, so that you may know you have my word." And with that he tied the ribbon around her wrist, tight enough so that it would not come off unless cut or untied, yet soft enough so it would not hurt her fair skin or bruise in any way. Once he was done he lifted her hand up to his lips and kissed it once more showing to the child inside a swell as the woman on the outside that he meant his word, above all else. He would die before he dishonored it.

A soft chuckle escaped her lips when I spoke of her bath and then I heard Leilani speak. ”I had a servant prepare it for me… It should still be warm, but if not, I can refresh it.” Such simple words, yet he knew what she meant, for he himself would not want a stranger in there personal bathing room. " I understand." Darek said as he let her hand go, letting his hand drift over her delicate skin until her hand was finally free. ”You may stay though… I can shut the door to the bathing room and come out once I am dressed.” Darek was beyond speechless as she spoke this to him and quickly made it a point to argue. " My lady...it is unfitting of a man to be in the same room as a woman at night if they are not wed, but even worst for me to be in here while you take a shower." Darek had so much conflict going on it was clear to see. " If you will allow me I shall wait on the balcony. That is the most my honor will allow me to do. But I shall sing for you so you know I have not left if it shall make up for the loss of m so close." Darek said his words becoming soft and gentle once more. He was sure she would understand and listen to his compromise.

Darek knew she would be upset for a small amount of time but also knew that she would she that it was better of this way. Neither one would be tempted to do things that they should not, and thus both would be saved many troubles. But it did not stop his brain from wondering what it would be like to just stay with her while she slept, to even just watch her sleep while he like a guardian angel watched over her. And as Darek thought of this he also began to wounder if Leilani even knew how to take care of herself. Sure he had seen the dagger by her side a few times, but that did not mean she knew how to use it. And Sean he knew could not go everywhere she was destined to be. " I shall see tomorrow." Darek told himself as he watched her carefully. Trying to get a glimpse of what was going on in her mind without invading it.

Darek was still surprised though at the outcome of events. Here he had come for his students sickness, without his cane. His most precious heirloom and seen this human woman once again all alone. Waiting to be asked to dance. Sure Veela was extremely beautiful by elf standards, but she was so easy to please when she was not being fickle. And Pele he soon learned just plain and simply did not like men when one poor human had tried to be to handies for his own good. It was as if all other options had been closed off to him so that he would have to go to the Gala, and see this woman. No not woman, ma komitama. His ma komitama.

With a smile and a nod, Darek knew that he was allowed to tell Turin himself. Like any decent man should trying to win over his sisters heart after all. The brother had the most right to challenge him, it was another reason he had said spar, for he knew that Turin would not let his youngest sister go to someone who could not take care of her physically, mentally, and financially. All of which he knew he could do, but Turin did not. ”That sounds like a good idea. If he is free perhaps I shall speak with him for a while. I would much like to test his knowledge after all on such topics." Darek said looking at the green nightgown she drew from her wardrobe. A small smile coming to his face, letting the smallest sign of dimples show. " You are to kind Leilani, extremely to kind to me." Darek said with a smile as he followed her milky pale skin up to her face, only stopping fr a split second where her blood pumped freely. Tonight it would be easy, but by the end of the week it would be much harder for him to keep the beasts away from scaring her flesh with their fangs.

" Go now." Darek said with a kiss. " Before the dawn dose greet us and you guards catch me inside your room." Darek said with an amused grin as he thought of the man Sean walking in to him sitting in a chair on the side of her bed waiting for her to fall asleep.

I guess you could say I was truly a child at heart, I wanted to see the good in everyone and most the time, saw in people who others refused to see. As I looked to Darek, I watched as he leaned down slightly towards me, to speak to me softly. ”I promise you my young lady that when you awake, that I shall be waiting for you. And that you shall have me for all the time you wish." I smiled, feeling his hand running down my waterfall like her and felt a finger tip touch my skin. ”Here to prove it." I watched as he removed a ribbon out of three, a green one. I had seen them before, but I had never paid much attention to them, just thought they were their to keep the hair from his face, but I was sure he looked much better with his hair all around his face. ”This is my honor, and my creed. I smiled softly, watching as he tied it around my wrist making sure it would not come off my wrist.

After it was on, he lifted my hand to his lips, kissing it softly and I could not help but smile. I felt my cheek begin to burn slightly. He was far too charming, but I liked it all the same. I knew he would keep to his work, that I did not have to worry about. Every moment I spend with him, I knew I did not have to worry about anything, it was a given, or it felt like one. I felt so safe with him now, standing on my balcony. If one was below, they could see us, but not many looked up towards the balconies, at least, I did not. We were not in a high tower, like my uncle had, but I like where I was. I had a wonderful view of the mountains far off and of the city.

As I told him about the bath and how it should be still warm, I saw understanding. It was not that I didn’t want him in there, but I knew it was better if he stayed out incase a server came in and saw him. They were loyal to my sister and uncle and they would run straight to them. ”I understand." I smiled, felt his hand let me go, holding on softly until he could no more. I told him he could stay, I did not mind and I would keep the door shut until I was done, but he seemed shock at my words. I was not upset, but I did know it was cold outside and I did not want him to freeze. As I pulled my clothes from the Wardrobe I glanced back at him, saw how he watched me, as if trying to learn me that way. I smiled as I faced away from him. Not many royals could pick out their cloths on their own, but she had no problem with it. From the start of her training, she was wearing what she wanted to and showed many of the men up in her style. As I got ready for the bath, I went ahead and removed the dagger that I had placed between my belt like sash and my dress, throwing it on the bed. My sister, I knew could throw it and place it within’ the word, but I could only have it to thrust into someone’s gut or chest. I was not one to think like that.

As I continued to think about things, such as how the events of this past week had lead me to this room, with a man I had only just met, I could only smile. Fate.”[/color] I thought to himself as I threw the dress on the bed, turning back to him and looking at him for a moment. I could not help but smile slightly, looking at him with my emerald eyes. I wondered why he had picked me, out of so many other women to dance with, and not only woman, both human and elven. What made me so special. I was not elf, even though my uncle sometimes called me elf eyes or his elven child. My eyes were not something among humans, they were in fact something seen in elves more then humans. After a moment, we were on the thoughts of talking to my siblings. Nayeli would be my last, since I did not want to go at her alone. It would possible take at least a week or so of planning before I went to her and told her that I was in love with Darek Von Cleft. I wanted to be with him, I wanted to move to Ilirea. I was sure I could do something, possible even find a teacher to learn more about Diplomatic teachings and possible learn how to teach others. I knew I could do something. As I spoke of Turin and stated how smart he was, I saw something in Darek’s own eyes that agreed with me. ”When you are finished I shall ask for directions to where he is. If he is free perhaps I shall speak with him for a while. I would much like to test his knowledge after all on such topics." I smiled, nodding quickly. I would have to think about it while I was washing, to tell him exactly where to go, but I did not think that would be very hard. ”You are to kind Leilani, extremely to kind to me." I blushed again.

”I guess you can say it something that is rare in my family and when it shows, it is sometimes the best.”[/color] I laughed slightly at the end. My mother was like this, too kind, even for my father. My uncle could be very harsh and cruel, just like my sister, but I did not mind. I loved them. My father would never have given this opportunity, but my uncle had and for that, I was grateful. I watched as Darek looked over my skin and I tried not to use this to my advantage and flirt. ”Go now." I smiled, felt his kiss one move upon my lips. ”Before the dawn dose greet us and you guards catch me inside your room." I smiled slightly and nodded, grabbing my gown and heading into the bathing room, closing the door without a second glance. I knew if I did look, it could lead to something more.

I removed my pink dress, hanging it up on the wall to show the servants that it would need to be cleaned. I pulled the matching slippers off as well, pulling open a secret door and placing them in my Wardrobe. It was a escape route for the royal families. Mine lead into the bathing room and out the hidden servants door and down many stairs. I removed the under garments and soon, my bare body was stepping down into the stone tub, the water still warm. The tub was large, sunk into the ground. As I set there, it was like sitting in a chair. (Think of a hot tube) I was able to relax and then I started bathing myself, rubbing soap into my body and then going under to wash my hair. I grabbed oil to make it to where it would not tangle and then washed it out. I did not take a long one and I could hear Darek singing, even from the Balcony.

I knew Sean would not be happy at all if he found us like this. I hated to make him mad, but no matter what, I was going to be happy. I stepped out of the water, grabbing a towel and began to dry. As I moved around the bathing room, I had to go around the pool to pull a rope to allow the water to leave the tub and then I once again resumed drying myself. My hair started to become more wavy. My hair had already had a wave in it, but when it got wet, it only got worse. I ran the towel through it before pulling on the sleeping robe. It was not right to my body, but it was not too loose. It still hugged my figure some. I did not have any slipped on and then I opened the door to my room, walked towards the Balcony door and smiled. ”All done.”[/color] Though, at the end, I held a small yawn.

As the smile came to her face from having the ribbon tied around her wrist he laughed before saying. " As this is my word it also means I can never lie to you. Not in your language or mine, for I have had spells cast around it for such things." Darek said with a smile. He knew this would make her happy knowing that he gave her so much confidence that he would bestow upon her such a gift. " The others also have similar things linked to them, but I'm sure you will never have to worry about them." Darek said with a smile.

Once again he watched as she began to blush from his kisses. " Are you not used to this?" Darek asked with an amused smile as he once again smiled at her and kissed her hand. He felt how safe she felt, that she knew he would protect her no matter what. But as he saw that she was afraid someone may see them he slowly let them back away.

As he had hoped Leilani had not argued with him about being on the balcony while she bathed, sure she would have the door shut, but unlike a human a door only worked so well and his mind would keep going to the door until he let it expand past it to the woman behind it. At least on the balcony he had many other things to distract him as well as his singing to her. This way, though his mind may wander, it would still be not going for her own as s he bathed.

Slowly Darek watched as she choose her own clothes and threw her dagger to the bed. " That is a tool my lady," Darek said going and catching it in mid flight before placing it gently on the bed. " A simple thing like that could kill someone. Our in your case ruin a good bedroom set." Darek said with a smile as he looked over the craftsmanship of the dagger. " Only the best for royalty." Darek said as the old proverb went there was nothing royal about a rich person not showing there wealth.

Darek saw the self doubt in her eyes as she a silence began between them as she looked for clothes. " What is it that troubles you Ma koimtama? " Darek asked going to her like a ghost one minute across the room and the next holding her in his arms, as if he were shielding her from the world.

”I guess you can say it something that is rare in my family and when it shows, it is sometimes the best.” Darek heard Leilani say and could not argue for he had not been alive long enough to argue with her. He knew the former king carried to the point of parina for his family, but nothing really about the other human kings and queens.So instead he simply answered " Some of the greatest gits our are biggest downfalls." and watched as she walked into the bathroom, shutting the door without turning back to him. He was slightly saddened about this but did not show it as he made his way to the balcony and began to sing. He already had made it all while they spoke.

As the song finished Leilani stepped out of the bathing room, looking like a goddess to his eyes, her wet hair in waves down her back, as it tried to envelop her in a cloak of blackness. He could see the simple green sleeping gown underneath her hair that was perfect for her, neither to tight nor to lose, it hung on her body beautifully, and Darek let out a low soft purr as she opened the door saying she is was done. " My lady...you are gorgeous." Darek said looking at her before slowly and tentatively reaching out to her, letting his hands run through her hair as he backed up once again into her room away from prying eyes. Though he kept his hands where they should be you could tell he was still in awe about her. And that was when he heard the yawn and with a smile he said " I guess you are for the night." And lifted her up once again into his arms and carried her over to her bed from which he laid her down in and tucked her in. " Goodnight Ma komitama." Darek said to her, his lips just hovering over hers, as he looked into her eyes.

As I thought about my own things, moved away from him and removed my knife, I watched as he caught it with skilled hands before it landed on the bed. I looked at him slightly confused, it was just going to land on the bed, no harm done. ”That is a tool my lady," I nodded silently, looking at him as he set it on the bed gently. ”A simple thing like that could kill someone. Our in your case ruin a good bedroom set." I smiled. It was true, but I did not like thinking about the first one… Killing someone was something I never wanted to do, not once. ”Only the best for royalty." I smiled. ”A gift from family. Something I never wanted.”[/color] I said to him, but because of my family, I kept it with me. ”What is it that troubles you Ma koimtama?” I watched as within’ moments he was with me, holding me in his arms.

”Just wondering… How fate works… Why you picked to dance with me out of the whole crowd tonight.”[/color] I said to him softly, looking at him with soft eyes as I wondered. So many people were there, so many humans and elves, yet he came to me and danced with me. I spoke again about the family, how my kindness was something of a rarity in my family. ”Some of the greatest gits our are biggest downfalls." I knew it was the truth, I had seen it. I stepped back, a smile still on my face before I went to bath. I listened to his song, as soon as he started to sing it and when I was done, he was done.

Once I was done and dressed, I came out into the bed chambers and looked at him for a moment, smiling as I shut the door to the bathing room. I was dressed simply now, nothing like what I had been wearing. As I said I was done, I saw him look at him. ”My lady.... You are gorgeous." I smiled at him. My make up was all gone, nothing hid my true features. I could not help but blush, feeling the skin grow fire like hot. But, I yawned as his hands went through my hair and I looked into his eyes. He was admiring me and though it was something I did not care for, at that moment, I realized how much I had wanted it. No one had ever seen me without make up on, other then my family, but he showed that he did not care. ”I guess you are for the night." I smiled slightly, but was surprised when he lifted me up and placed me down on my soft bed and then tucked me in. ”Goodnight Ma komitama." I smiled at him, looking into his eyes before I gentle kissed his own lips. I did not want him to leave without a kiss Good Night. I pulled away, eyes closed slightly. ”Good Night Darek.”[/color]
