As Dantie finished cleaning out his room that he had livid in for the past 50 years a sad frown came upon his face. " So many good memories here." Dantie sighed as he looked out his window overlooking the city state of the riders below. Never again would he see this place, unless he became a rider, for in a month him and his mentor would move back to the world of the elves. " I have only two choices, to become a rider, or gain the yawe. Only then shall I be able to protect my family." Dantie sighed as he turned back around and finished packing. On his bed lay a beautiful Bastard sword that was given to him upon graduation for his high achievements through out his years inside the school. In the pommel of the blade was a garnet gem, and the hilt was wrapped in leather. It was a great gift, one of the greatest gifts one could get that was not a rider themselves.
Silently he strapped the blade to his belt and picked up his backpack, placing it across his back and then walking out his door for the last time. Darek would be waiting for him at his home to arrive and get ready to depart for the elf capital. Until then Darek would have time to pick up a few trinkets and try once to apply to become a riders apprentice. If he was denied he would leave for his home land and make do with what he could. As he walked out the door of the great citadel he turned back to look up at its majesty. As he stepped back to look up at his old rooms window, the highest a student could get up into the citadel, he bumped into a person knocking a few belongings out of his bag, but before they hit the ground he caught them in his hands in a graceful turn and put his two first fingers to his lips and spoke in the ancient language the common greeting. Once he was done he said " I am so sorry, I did not hurt you did I?" Dantie asked as he held out his hand to the person he had bumped into.
