Chapter 2: Blood of the Divine

Welcome to chapter 2 of the MP! Before I explain the two threads that will encompass this chapter, however, I'm going to explain some new rules and regulations to avoid a repeat of what many members were doing in chapter 1.

1. You do need to read my posts, not just skim over them or ignore them entirely. This MP in particular has a very structured storyline that I'll be directing.
2. Do not go off and do your own thing if it's detrimental to the storyline. Holding everyone up just so your character can be a badass and go hunt the magical Golden Pie is really unnecessary.
3. Actually take note of other people's characters. Describe them, and don't just RP with the same two people throughout the course of the thread. Expand a bit.
4. This is an ultimatum. If people decide to goof off like in the last chapter, there simply will not be a main plot for the site anymore.

And now that the unpleasant bit is over, I can actually get to what chapter 2 is! I suggest you go and read the announcement 'The Coldest Sleep' before looking over this discussion thread.

The day after the Renaissance Gala, various posters began appearing all over Broddring and Ilirea. It called for a team to assemble in the port of Aroughs at the end of the week to recover an artefact simply known as the 'Chalice of Nyx' from the isle of Parlim in the Southern Archipelago. Requested by the king himself, the reward for each team member is a large sum of cash. One of chapter 2's threads will revolve around this team setting sail for Parlim and getting hold of the artefact.

Meanwhile, the second thread will be taking place in Ellesméra, most specifically in the palace. In response to the queen's terrible injuries, the trees became extremely hostile and sent the entire castle into a 'lockdown' of sorts. The queen, her servants, soldiers and even her attackers and upstanding members of the Hive are trapped within, either dead or alive. In response to the matter, a team has decided to assemble on a rescue mission.

1. You may only take part in one of these threads. You may sign up for this chapter until the MP threads are up at the end of the week.
2. There is no posting order to make things move along faster.
3. When signing up, I'm going to ask you to do something weird and put a little 'tidbit' of information about the characters you're using. Just two or three sentences about who they are and why they're there, nothing more. It makes it waaay easier for me to keep track of characters, and for you as well. XD
NEW- 4. The absolute latest I will post on the MP is every Saturday evening- if I really can't make it, then Sunday morning. This means that all of you have to post BEFORE then, or you'll get skipped. Seven days is enough for all of you to get a post up, and one round a week in the MP is pretty slow as it is.

Edan Valaician to attend, under supervision of Laioni.
He is the human general and was recently arrested and held by the Dragon Riders, and wants to prove his desire for peace and good intentions by aiding the elves in their plight, hopefully gaining the good will of the Elven people.

Amelia Vencari to attend
Amelia is the head of the Hive company in Ellesmera, and wants to see how the Hive members are and to aid them in their plight.

Artemis night has for a while been looking to find power that she was denied at birth by her younger brother. Exiled from the Du Urden family, and recently orphaned by Clarus, she has come to brodings call for a treausre hunt for an artifact of power, wishing to once she finds it, take it for herself if it will help her become a shade. And if it will not sell it to a mutreal benefactor that can teach her.

Sean Sviodson MacLaren is a Hibernian Gael, grandson of Fearghus mac Laren, Boar King of Ulster. A warrior in the Savage Faithful, Sean is generally following Leilani Richards around, being a bodyguard for her. However, due to her recent interest in an undesirable, unsavory character by the name of Darek von Cleft, Sean is hoping to be allowed in on the operation in Ellesmera, to seek an honorable and noble death of suicide by battle, due to his failure of maintaining said Lady's security.

Kyril Valomich
Kyril has been hired to kill one of the members of the guard within the castle; he in turn will do whatever he can to fulfill that task in whatever manner possible. (Of course if his goal can be counted as a search for the golden pie he will simply stumble upon the dead guards’ body.)


Morwen Karatas,
Finally being captured for her crimes against her uncle and aunt, she was prosecuted and sentenced to a prison near the Elvin Capital. Word reached her ears of a human general being released from riders to save the Elvin queen and diffuse the situation, as things go she is willing as well to participate for her freedom.

Tasia & Sunglow

Born in the Forest, Tasia has grown up in a farm village, but has offered her help to the elven nation for a long time. After being coming a trained bows-man (Woman) and Garden, she is very skilled in dealing with the plants and Animals of the forest. Her companion, Sunglow, is a young dragon, only recently became as large as a small dog, her back reaching up to Tasia's Knee now. Tasia is a skilled fight, but wants nothing more then to help.

Njord & Senka Floros

Both born into a well known elven family, both with different views of things. Njord, the worst nightmare to a young dragon and Senka, the blessing to a young dragon when her brother is around. Njord, simple person, who would rather look plain then flashy and Senka, the most beautiful, flashy person one can met, but sometimes with a cruel disposition.

If I can be so kindly places where I need to be, then that would be wonderful.

MIA AMBRYLIGHT will be participating in POSSESSED CASTLE. She's a Broddring Hive operative and, although she's not as high as a Shrike, she is fairly high in the ranks. Keep refreshing this page and you'll eventually get a picture of her. She's currently in Du Weldenvarden as a liaison with their division of the Hive, and was in the castle when it locked down.

Niko Danta and Arashi will be participating in the Treasure Hunt. Niko is a noble of Ellesmera and a scholar of Ilirea. Recently he has also achieved his life-long dream of becoming a Dragon Rider. He is exceptionally skilled in melee and ranged combat, though not so skilled in magic. Arashi is the indigo dragon that hatched for Niko. Ever ready for adventure, he has managed to convince Niko to go on this hunt for the Chalice of Nyx. Now that he is larger - coming up to about Niko's knees - he is eager to venture out into the world and begin honing his skills as a fighter.

Ivory is a werecat with a lust for danger and adventure. She has an fondness for elves and their queen and is hoping to help save the queen in the Possessed Castle. She's a fiesty little piece of work and the forest is her ally, her mind so very keenly in tune with the trees. Her ability to turn into a cat might prove useful in getting in to help the ailing queen.

Solomon Latro is the last surviving member of Hunting Clan Latro which was once situated on one the smaller islands of Empire Nirvana. His recent hunts have held very little -if any- monetary rewards and he has contacts to pay off, while not normally his type of hunt Solomon intends to go on this Treasure Hunt in order to use the money to keep the few contacts he has quiet.

Ishiyo Sasaki for the Queen's Palace.

Over twenty years ago Ishiyo fled the Forest Realm back to Ilirea after killing her sister and another, unidentified woman in her sister's home. There were even reports of Ishiyo participating in a ritual involving dark magic where her sister had unwittingly got in the way and was killed as a result. While she would like to clear her name, this mission will provide the best opportunity for her to properly deal with old wounds.

Sign up Count Settic for Treasure Hunt. After seeing the posters he was immediately drawn to this Chalice of Nyx and wondered what this artifact of his faith could be. His estate is incredibly rich so he's not so much in it for the money. However, one major factor he searches for it is favor with the king. He has just recently become Count of Tears and is having problems wresting his rightful control over certain aspects of the city. With the king backing him and recognizing him it would be much easier to accomplish what he must.

Also have Xaen, the werecat, in the hunt. Do werecats really need a reason to be curious or simply go where they wish? He saw the posters and saw a way out of his boredom. Looks like fun no?

OKAY, NEW RULE. Since a lot of members did NOT get to join the MP and since jumping into this thread halfway to make up for those who will lose interest and leave is kinda pointless and hard to do... I'm lifting the eight-member rule. BUT PEOPLE CAN ONLY JOIN ONE THREAD STILL, and I'd like them to stay as even as possible in numbers.

Also, due to the end of the school term being THIS WEEK, I can't get the MP threads up till the end of the week at the very earliest anyway. So yeah. XD People can still sign up until they're opened.

In that case I would like to enter Toriyuu Doubleblade into the Treasure Hunt. He is a noble born sorcerer fluent in the Ancient Language, proficient in its magical uses, and a skilled sorcerer. He is a mediocre swordsman, but is constantly striving to become stronger in all of these areas. He's the leader of brigade of Empirical magic users and is the ambassador to Illirea.
