Name: Alleria Rose Rainwood.
Age:120
Race:Elf
Occupation:Solider(Archer more specifically)
Allegiance: Often shifts between De Weldenvarden, and the Riders.
Physical Description: Alleria stands about 5’8” tall with a slender, twig like figure. At any given moment it appears that she could just be picked up and blown away and her skin is a pretty golden tan. Starting at the top and working their way down the first thing one would notice about Alleria is her hair which is incredibly light and color, almost white but has a golden sheen to it. The hair comes down to her lower back but she often keeps it in a pony tail. Her eyes are oval shape with long eye lashes and golden pupils. Her nose is petite almost too small for her face, followed by thin lips. Alleria does have slender, graceful curves where they should be but they are not as profound as that of other females. Slender arms and legs add to her twig like figure, but don’t let her looks fool you. Always strapped to her back is a mahogany bow and quiver full of arrows, which she is very skilled with. On her hips are two delicate short swords with elven runes carved into them. Her favorite kind of clothing is either elegant formal clothing in bright colors, or comfortable tight fitting chain armor often covered by greens, browns, greys, colors in general that would help her blend into the forest. Alleria prefers silver jewelry with bright gems when she decided to wear any at all. One of her most wordly possessions is a silver chain with a purple gem that hangs just right above her breast. She also likes to accessorize with feathers in her hair, matching her outfit.
Personality: At first glance Alleria is a cold hearted person. In reality she doesn’t easily trust others and won’t open up to someone else until she gets to know them so that she doesn’t end up getting herself hurt. Once you have gotten to know her you will meet a calm, level headed person who likes to think her actions through before acting upon them, often weighing every little detail she can think of. She is a very patient person, and dislikes being rushed. When it comes to friends she is pretty outgoing and very loyal. She is very cautious when it comes to other races, especially humans. Having never met one before as she often doesn’t leave Du Weldenvarden she only knows what her kin have told her of humans. Due to this she has an idea that she already dislikes them and doesn’t think her mind could ever be swayed on the matter. When it comes to dwarves and urgals she already has a hatred for them, especially urgals. Riders on the other hand are a different story she likes their way of thinking, how they always seem to plan before they act and respects their decision to stay out of the Blue Divide. Unlike her kin she does not consider them traitors but would never admit that around any non-rider. Alleria does support her elven people because she is one of them but ultimately supporters the riders more. She fears the one day her support will be revealed and she will be exiled from her home. Alleria is hesitant on following the elves tradition of blackmail and seducing to get what they want but prefers to deal with it in other ways when possible but has resorted to these means when needed.
History: Alleria was born in Ellesmera, and growing up had a typical childhood for an elf, well in her opinion it was typical. During the days of her younger life she spent most of her days playing with the children her age, running around the forest and occasionally causing mischief which she always seemed to get away with. She was always curious always asking others questions and soaking up knowledge like a sponge. Like most children she was especially curious about dragons and riders, those were always her favorite stories.
When she started schooling for magic she began to realize that she didn’t think the saw way as the others. While some were acting on impulse she figured out her analyze every angle strategy worked better. While learning magic she learned several defensive spells, and offensive spells. Alleria was nothing special with the ancient language when compared to some of the more powerful magic users. When she turned age 80 around the time she would leave Ileria the Blue Divide began. She thought long and hard about the war and respected the riders’ decision to stay neutral, as she was able to understand their point of view. After her magical training she went back home where she decided to enlist as a solider and began training with a sword and bow, while talented with both she really excelled at the bow.
Throughout the whole war she was lucky to be able to stay out of the major fighting. Upon becoming a solider she was one of the few who were left back at the city of Ellesmera to guard it. There she listened to the royals and nobles going on about their side in the war and while she served her people out of duty, each day she heard them talking about their side of the war. Alleria understood their hatred of the humans for what had happened and also believed that humans shouldn’t become riders due to the fact they are weaker than elves, but she has decided that the war was over something ridiculous and thus doesn’t support it. To her it was childish and weak to attack the elves because the humans weren’t allowed to become riders, so ever since she became a solider her allegiance towards the riders has grown more and more with each passing day.
Roleplaying Sample: Alleria stood outside her house in Ellesmera, staring up at the clouds. The cool evening breeze blew gently around her, soothing her as she last glimpses of red and gold sunlight were seen through the canopy of the tall forest. She had just finished training for the evening. ”Why am I a solider again?” She thought to herself as she just stood there, leaning against the tree. ”Oh yeah, because I do respect my people and wish to serve them I just don’t believe in the war.” The war it made no sense. Humans were childish, they couldn’t get what they wanted to they started a whole war over it. They wouldn’t cut it as riders anyway they weren’t strong enough, and they didn’t possess enough skill in magic. “Silly humans, thinking they can keep up with an elf.” Sighing under her breathe to herself she cast one last glance at the sun and started to walk up the steps into her house. If she didn’t support the war then perhaps she should leave Ellesmera and head to the rider citadel, she was sure they could use a good solider, but she didn’t want to leave her home. It was something she had known her whole life, but the war was something she could not support, and if she stayed here she would eventually have to become a part of it. That was something she didn’t think she could tolerate.
