My voice was calm, not even excited, but pleasant and cool. The female smiled at me for a moment as if I was coming to a realization, which in a way I was. ”You showed me, that not only logical, good, historical people and things live within’ this city, but washed out elves who can handle themselves in the forest of Du Weldenvarden, but instead, spread jokes about humans as if it is nothing.” The girl’s smile disappeared from her face and I walked past her, a smile still held on my face.’the {lovely*}
Tasia--!The evening was an amazing thing. It came often, the days turned to night and the sun set into the forest, the desert, the mountains, the ocean… It was a awesome occurrence that came throughout everyday and any day. No matter how much you tried, even the ancient language could not stop it, for the earth held a language of it’s own, a language unknown to even the tongues of the elves and the mages of the humans. Sure, the elves could call to the animals and the plants; to the ground and the jewels within’ the soul, but the sun and moon were beyond the control of the elves and the people. Well, this very evening, the sun was setting into the west, the city-state of Ilirea was lit with the lamps that went along the cobble streets. The parks were well kept and then streets were as well. The sound of horses moving carriage towards the homes of rich people and also to the stores that needed supplies, it was a well heard sound until the late hours of the evening. A few people could be heard laughing about some stupid story outside this large door, their swords on their waste. Elves and Humans alike stood there, laughing about something stupid, being friends with each other… Only in Ilirea could such a thing happen, where they all wanted to gain knowledge and where the well known dragon riders were.
I had come once before, but I wanted to try again. I was praying to nothing to actually gain this right as a dragon rider. I was scared I would not make it, that was my honest opinion. I walked through the city, having first gone to a small inn, gaining a room with a few coins of pay. It was a nice inn too, which was far different then the inns of the humans I had stayed in on my way over to this city state. I still wore my normal clothing; my top only covered my chest, showing my stomach, which was firm and taunt, and one, simple piece went around my right upper arm. Along my arms and shoulders was my vine like tattoo, which came around my neck where two small, simple vines that created a leave in the middle of my collar bones. It was a bark colored fabric. In the middle of my fore head, around the crown of my head was a green crown of vines, hard as silver and gold, with a bright green emerald in the middle of my forehead. My two emerald eyes looked along the street as I walked, my body to most was considered a whorish look. I did not cover my body except with clothing that allowed me easy movement. My waist held a skirt that was rapped slightly, ragged looking, but covered what needed to be covered. My feet held fabric like shoes that protected my feet, however, it was mostly to aid in my long travel. I was not use hard stone road and rough terrain.
I could hear the stories coming from the men as they protected the entrance into The Sacred Font, which lead to the chamber which held the beautiful eggs that I wanted nothing more. I loved the dragons, I wanted to be a rider, nothing more, a rider and that was final. I had seen that one rider as a young elf, my sister was the rider’s lover, and now it was my turn to become the rider… at least, that was my hope. It was the only thing I wanted, by far, the only thing I wanted in my life. It was in my heart to be one, to have what that dragon rider had called, a sister. I took in a breath as I moved towards the entrance, the sound of a woman laughing caught me by surprise. As I got closer, I saw it was a woman among the ranks, a elf woman and she held tattoos like me, but they did not seem to be vines. ”Well, what do we have here?” I stopped when I was before her, my emerald eyes looking into her own, my black hair had been pulled back from my face, emotion did not show on my face. ”Let me guess, you want to pass into the chambers.” I saw a few guy chuckling behind her, but I did not allow my eyes to leave her. ”From what I can see, a Dragon would not pick you even if you were the last elf on earth… They would prefer a human over you.” Even the humans behind her laughed, they did not take it as a insult at all. She turned her back on me, I wanted to have my bow, but I had left it behind in order to seem less of a threat in this great city. It was in my pouch back at the inn, hidden under the wood floors.
I looked away for a moment, looking slightly at the city, the great city of Ilirea. I allowed my eyes to focus back on her, a smile gracing my lips, the very lips pulling back to show pretty white teeth before I rolled my head slightly, looking at the sky, the beautiful night sky, the very sky that the elves would never be able to contain. I held a wide smile on my face, letting my eyes return to her own eyes and looking at her with a smile. ”Wow… You amaze me.”
The entrance lead into a long hallway, no doors on either side. It seems that the claws of dragons carved this very tunnel out, my hands trailed over the wall as I stopped, looking at it for a moment and then heard something at the end of the tunnel. It sound of more talking and I let out a groan. If these were as smart ass as the other, I could have problem getting into the final entrance, the one that lead to the chambers. I let out a sigh, walking, my feet were silent as I came upon them and they looked at me. ”Welcome to the Sacred Font.” I smiled slightly, walking up towards them, looking at the door that lead into the chambers. ”I wish you luck, Milady.” I looked at him for a moment, a smile gracing my lips before I walked past the doors of the mighty chambers.
No elf could match the sight that was before me now, no elf could even try. The fire torches that lit the walls of the chambers caused the orbs to shimmer with a glow like no other. The sun could not match the beauty that laid before me. No male could catch the attention of me. I took a few steps forward, closing my eyes before I opened them again. I wanted this so badly, I would not stop until I found that perfect match, the one that chose me. I looked around the chambers, seeing so many before me, but I did not want to fail this time. My heart was set as I walked around the room, looking between all that set before me. After a brief moment, I felt something, a tug at my heart as I turned to see a beautiful egg before me. I let out a breathing, going forward towards the egg and going down to me knees, my hands touching softly and feeling the warmth that radiated through it. I closed my eyes for a moment and then, I heard a head splitting scream, my hands moved to my head, the egg landing on the ground as I curled in pain. My stomach began to roll, the pain was overpowering. My eyes were blurred over as I felt the pain engulfing my body, but that was not the only thing I felt, I felt the pain of another in my head…

”Hello?” The sound of soothing to my headache, but my head still hurt. ”Geez, I wish this headache would go away!” I agreed completely with this voice, maybe it was just my own mind. ”Damn you… Fine, I will wake you myself!” The sharp feeling came into my arm, my mind, my body. I let out an ear full of pain, along with the wincing feeling of whatever was in my mind. I opened my, the blur that was around me, it was terrible and then it started to clear up. The flickering of the flame was easy to tell, but then, there was this other thing, it shimmered in the light and as it cleared up, I nearly had a heart attack as I looked at the large head on the small body. The eyes looked into mine, on the head held two large spike like things, but they were not big, they were small. I was breathing really hard now and I could not think at all.
